Sony NAS-Z200 with Serviio on FreeNAS

Hello,

I installed Serviio on a FreeNAS Server according to this step to step guide http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3479
it worked perfectly well. As a client I want to use my Sony NAS-Z200 (which is basically a music streaming client), which also works quite well, BUT the player stops after every song, produces a timeout of about 20 seconds, gives a " connection error" and goes into "pause" mode. You can then manually skip to the next song and continue playing, but it stops again after this next song.

I tried all sorts of sony profiles, but without any effect on this behaviour.

Can somebody help ? Cheers.

Here my logfiles, derby.log:

Re: Sony NAS-Z200 with Serviio on FreeNAS

nothing out of ordinary in the log, files delivered natively so it should just work. Does it have a firmware you could upgrade?

Re: Sony NAS-Z200 with Serviio on FreeNAS

Hi Zip,

thanks for the quick answer. I just double checked, but Sony doesn't offer any firmware update. The only Server I got it working with so far is this built in "windows media connect" thing, but I'd rather use FreeNAS on my server than windows.

Cheers
Chris

I'd try Sony support forum.

Re: Sony NAS-Z200 with Serviio on FreeNAS

Hey out there!

I have just the same problem (of course I own a NAS-Z200).

With Mezzmo works OK, but I´d rather go into Serviio but this "stop after track" is really annoying....

Any suggestion?
