No "Upload License file" button on About TAB

I could not find any heading under which this problem fits so posting here. Mods can move accordingly ....

I want to purchase Serviio Pro. I went to http://www.serviio.org/buy-pro" and was checking how to apply the license file, where in it says to go to about tab on your serviio console and click on "Upload License file" at the below right corner, The problem ........ there is no Upload License file" button on my serviio console about tab.

Check the snap below ....... what do I do now ...

That is a third party console replacement which hasn't been updated yet to support uploading license files. At the moment the only consoles that support license files are the official console and ServiiDroid.

Which OS is your server running on? If its linux you can use:

Where Serviio_XXX.lic is the full path to your license file that you downloaded.

Or just install the console on your main PC and use http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... e?id=21#q2 to point it to where your server is running.

Or use ServiiDroid if you have an android device (click on the link in the email that you get, or a saved license file, pick ServiiDroid, then select the server to upload it to)

I have installed Serviio on UNRAID that runs on linux. How to I access the official console??. I can see the server setting running on my UNRAID page. If I access the serviio console via Unraid settings even then there is no "upload license file" button. I am a linux noob even worse than a noob, the command you gave, I dont have the courage to run it all by myself.

But yes I have serviiodroid on my android phone (Samsung Galaxy Nexus). But I could not find any option to upload the liscense file via it(if I manage to copy the license on th e phone). Can you please be kind enough to provide me the steps here ..

Accessing the console via a webbrowser or UNRAID settings will use a third party console. Mark does has an update planned, but not sure if it is ready yet.

The command is quite simple, and you cannot break anything by running it. To use it you would move into the directory where you store your documents/media and save the license file there, then run the command.

For ServiiDroid, it is initiated by opening a license file, and then choosing ServiiDroid to handle it, rather than finding the license file from within ServiiDroid. You will get an email with a link in it, simply click on the link from within your email app, and pick ServiiDroid. Alternatively, click on the link and save the file, then open it and pick ServiiDroid.

Eitherway, make sure you save a copy of the license file for later use.

Hi following on from the above suggestion, I have just purchased the Pro licence (about 20 minutes ago).

I do have the upload licence option in the server gui... but it states "Licence is invalid"

I have tried uploading it through ServiiDroid... again the same thing...

There is a problem with the server that creates the licences, it's a few hours ahead. Open your licence file in a text editor, there will be a date/time stamp a few hours ahead of now, you will have to wait until that time, then try again.

I fixed the time now, so all should be good for new licenses.
