Sony BDP doesn't play some online mp4 files

Hi ! I came across online cbs local news streams as mp4 files. The files are recognized by BDP as m2ts with AVC / AAC streams but they are not working on my Sony BDP BX57 ("Sony BD Playeer/SMP" profile) with the following symptoms;

1. File plays but with empty screen and no sound
2. File plays with picture and sound (with big interruptions though) once but shows empty screen when i press stop and then play button again
3. File plays with picture and sound (with big interruptions) once but shows empty screen when i press next chapter button, i.e. next file not working. then original file stops working as well

and these files play Ok when i use XBMC (configured as "Generic DlNA profile") to connect to Serviio on my PC.

any idea what may be wrong?

Sorry, didn't see where you stated that they were online media. I see now where the input is online media now.
