Slow page loading on Samsung UA55D8000

Hi there. I have just cabled up my UA55D8000 to my router using a 10m ethernet cable. It's very slow to load web pages and when i try and play video, it's buffering and intermittantly the whole screen blacks out for a second then comes back. Once the page has completely loaded it's also very slow to respond to commands from the remote. Playing on my PC the response is instant - no buffering. Not sure if the cable is too long? But the fact the scren is blacking out and the slowness responding to the remote means the problem is processing on the TV. Either that or the cable is too long. Any ideas?

Not sure I want to update firmware on the TV - I just tried updating my wife's Galaxy Ace and bricked it.

A bit more info. It seems only the web browser is slow. Watching shows through ABC iView for example is fine. Another strange one - when I try to play some Australian shows on an Australian TV channel website, I get an error saying the show can only be viewed from within Australia?! Maybe the connection is going via another country (Korea?!). That would explain the slowness!
