plays wrong video

I tried searching but I do not know what exactly to look for. I am currently using the Phillips profile on my Vizio M320SL. Everything seemed to be working fine until I start to go a few pages into my movie selection to find a video. The tv shows the correct name but plays the incorrect video. Has any one experience this? What information do you need to give me help?

Is it not just wrong metadata for the file? Post detailed log of playing the file.

I think I have what you need. I select polar express and I get Handy Many. Line 759

Are they one after the other in the list? It looks like the playback of the first fails so the TV mores on the next one - therefore it looks like the second is played straight away.

no they are far from each other. This happens with all the folders. It happened to me once with online content. I did not bother to even look. Handy Many is about #20 in the folder and Polar Express is in the low 40s. I select Polar express and I get Handy Many

It's ll weird... When you browse to the folder it looks the TV goes one file by one (alphabetically) and attempts to play them. Unless it's trying to get some bytes from the files' beginning for ll of them. That causes FFmpeg to start for each of them within a few seconds. I'm not sure why the TV does this, but it'll totally screw the whole experience, possibly interferes with what you want to play as well.

Does it play the files if you disable transcoding?

What is does it gets the duration 1 at a time but every time it shows 1:29, irregardless of what folder it actually is. I never thought about disabling transcoding. I will give that a try later this evening when I get home from work. I know the TV will play the video from a USB...we will find out if it will play it through serviio.

Edit: In creating a profile for this TV. It does not show up on Device Spy and not on that DLNA site from your signature.

When I turn off transcoding, no movies show up. What information do you need to help?

try to go to the folder on TV, wait a few minutes for all the FFMpeg activity to die and then play

I tried what you asked. I waited for all the ffmpeg activity to stop before I changed the page and then waited before playing the file. Would creating a correct profile help my situation? I can not find any information on my TV. The dlna tool and the site from you signature did not help

No, it played the incorrect file. Very strange. I am going to find out how many movies i can play before it starts to play the incorrect file

I have the exact same issue on a VIzio e601i-a3. No idea what's causing it and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to how it chooses which videos to play.

Any solutions to this issue? I seem to be experiencing it as well. I have a vizio e320i tv.
