Setting FFMPEG setdar parameter

Was wondering if the FFMPEG command string is configurable as I would like to change the setdar=4:3 that is added when you set DAR=16:9 to be setdar=16:9 is this possible?

No. Why do you need that? Does it give you different results?

Oh ok no worries, I was just trying to stream and uncrop at the same time as I went and encoded a load of HD 2.35:1 stuff cropped,
which is fine for my pc based media players but I just got a Humax 1000s freesat box and although it can play mkv's without transcoding it squashes them back to 16:9 if they are cropped

I know thats not really what the dar setting is for but I thought I read in a post somewhere that you could set a flag for the ffmpeg format string but I guess not.

is uncropping something you are thinking of supporting?
