Problem with MP3's in VIDEO CONTAINERS.

I have a Samsung PN64E8000 and Serviio can handle pretty much anything that I throw at it, with one exception. Any video with audio that has been encoded with MP3 compression. It doesn't matter if it is MP4, AVI etc. When I play a video with MP3 audio the sound will randomly cut out for a split second during playback. It resumes without missing a beat and is completely in sync, but it happens several times a minute throughout the entire duration of the file and can make dialog almost impossible to follow. I have tested this on many different files with many different MP3 compressions and bitrates (CBR, VBR etc.) and get the same result. I have re-encoded some of the problematic video files converting the audio from MP3 to AAC and the problem goes away. Still, converting my library of videos would be quite a daunting task, so I was wondering if there was a workaround or an XML edit that might make a more permanent fix. Thanks for any advice.

I have actually done a bit more messing around and it seems I am able to keep the problem from happening with CBR files. The problem now only occurs with VBR MP3's. It is a minor annoyance but still it seems there should be a simple workaround. If anyone knows of anything that can be done that would be great.
