Sony KDL-32EX723 Can't play certain files

I'm having a few problems viewing certain video files on my Sony KDL-32EX723 TV. I have provided the output from ffmpeg below two examples of files which will not play. The TV looks to start playback but nothing happens. I've configured the server render profile as Sony Bravia TV 2012 I've had some luck plying the file with an older Bravia profile but then all the aspect ratio is wrong and it looks terrible. I'd be grateful for any clues please.

Re: Sony KDL-32EX723 Can't play certain files

US profile does not change Display Aspect Ratio, you can select one with AVI files that does not play natively on your Sony device.

What is your region, US, UK, CA... ?

Thanks so do I select the US profile for all - I'll try tonight but I'm sure it upset my ratio. I'm in the UK. I thought it may have something to do with a variable bit rate or something? Sorry I'm not an expert.

In the UK, I'm assuming I'm transcoding some files now which don't need to be but it's not a big problem. Thanks for your help.

Re: Sony KDL-32EX723 Can't play certain files

Sony 2011/2012 support avi files with some restrictions (known):
- DivX Home Theater 3.0 only in SD resolution, Xvid are supported with QPEL = No and GMC : 0 / No warppoints, some fourCC are not supported, changed fourCC with : XVID
