MKV files will no longer play

I noticed just recently that my MKV files will no longer play on my Samsung TV. I had been playing them all along but suddenly for no reason I can figure, they now trigger the 'file format' error message. Any ideas out there?

Maybe your PC changed its IP address and it has the wrong profile now.
