I'm taking a guess that this isn't the latest version. Give the latest beta a try to see if that fixes your issues.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Thanks for your help

I've installed V1.3 Beta with the same result.
I've also tested with a sample HTML page with PHP code inside: in this case also the PHP code is not executed.
So, the problem seems not to be due to Serviio web UI but to my server configuration (Apache setting ?)

My problem is solved: it was due to PHP installation on Apache

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Hi all,

Loving the web ui and serviio in general. I'm having a little trouble getting it to play nice with my ispconfig set up, however: I can run serviio-web no problems with a normal apache direct configuration (in httpd.conf), but as an ispconfig site it doesn't appear to have the right permissions to browse the file system:

Image

I've tried changing the permissions of the documentRoot for the ispconfig site, but if I change the parent directory permissions I get a 403. If I just change the permissions on the servio-web directory contents then it makes no difference :|

I'm not super knowledgeable about these things, but I assume that the underlying problem is that PHP doesn't have enough permissions to browse the file system for this site. How can I change this?

Would be great to fix this, so hope that someone can help :)

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Hello, I am new on this board but have been using Serviio for at least a year. I have serviio set up on a Ubuntu 12.4 headless server. I have used Serviidroid to configure as well as serviioweb. My preference is the web console its easier to use. I have been having problems lately with the web interface not making any changes. If I try to add a local folder I go through all the steps and hit save, it looks like it's been added but if I refresh the page its gone. I have a couple servers set up the same way and they all seem to have stopped working. I am wondering if there was an update to Ubuntu that has caused the problem as at least two of the servers were working and then quit. I have tried updating to the 1.3 beta version but it does the same thing. I have tried making the serviio/config/ directory editable by www-data but that made no difference either. I might add that I can use the Serviidroid and it can make chances but not the webUI. My serviio version is 1.1 on all installations

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

It isn't designed for it. Transcoding/Subtitles (under the new delivery tab) will definately not work, Remote tab will be touch and go as it has new settings. The others might work depending on how Mark has coded it as one of the response fields has been removed in favour of using the http code header. You could certainly try it, but if you have any problems use the official console before reporting a problem against Serviio.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

Run the official console on your PC, and point it to your NAS. http://www.serviio.org/component/conten ... e?id=21#q2

Or if you have an Android or WP7 device, use one of the apps.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

:D Thanks Will

good Tip... i will test it asap

seems a bit complicated to make a such kind Thecus module, because i cant guess the remote ip for the windows machine for ezch users, where the serviio console is setup

talking for the JAVA_OPT flag -Dserviio.remoteHost= on the server side

You don't need to specify anything on the server side as of quite a few versions ago. Where does it say that as it should be updated?

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

apologies if i have already posted this in another serviio forum location... just found this post related to the Web UI. \

have the issue documented here:

hi all. i am having the same problem on QNAP NAS T212 running QPKG version '1.1_B10 Christian'. i am a reading the posts regarding the UI interface with PHP, but, too technical for me to understand.

is there a solution to this problem ? i cannot add any libraries to my Serviio list, and it does show 'Saved!', and i was able to to it before, as i got the libraries in there that i have now.

any libraries i add are there until i jump to another Serviio tab. come back; the new library is gone.

while new library is still on the screen, i do a 'Refresh', it initiates the chcck, check ends, no files added.

any help would be appreciated. debug log attached. thanks, all.

Re: Web UI in PHP (revised)

@rverhoeve, please note this webui is in beta

yes there is a bug posted here - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5330&start=220#p59146

For some reason Chrome or Firefox doesnt work to add the first share. Use Internet Explorer to add one folder share or use ServiiDroid or any 3rd party console app in my signature.
Once you have saved your first folder share. The web UI works fine with any browser to add more folder shares. ;)
