ST50 and aspect ratio problem with version > 1.0

Hi

I have installed some months ago v1.0 and everything was working well with an amended profile ( not sure of the dectection of new pana 2012 models )
that i have taken from this forum

Since i have :
Upgraded to v1.1 and kept the provided profile.xml : all movies have bad aspect ratio => back to 1.0
Upgraded to v1.2 and kept the provided profile.xml : all movies have bad aspect ratio => back to 1.0

In summary all pictures are streched to the top/bottom of the screen => there are no black bar

I have converted my local profile.xml by adding the new nodes like in the standard v1.2 profile and the xsd has successfully validated my file, but still bad aspect ratio

Which trace or debug informations can i provide to help you understand this problem ?

Reverting to v1.0 make everything work ok

Regards

What if you disable transcoding?

Re: ST50 and aspect ratio problem with version > 1.0

the profile might transcode them. That's why i'm asking to disable transcoding (and subtitles burning) and try again. If the file is not transcoded, then it's up to the TV to show the file with the correct aspect ratio.
