[SOLVED] Sony Bravia cant see serviio VIA AirPort Express

I have the "KDL-40EX653" Sony Bravia TV, connecting via Wi-Fi to my home server (wired) via an Apple Air Port EXPRESS

Before switching to the AE using plusnet default router, it all worked fine. Now, Serviio (in device list) can see TV on correct IP

but the TV cannot see the Serviio server running on THOR (DHCP name)

I have opened up the following port on the AE 8895 which I beleive is what Serviio is using (please correct if wrong)

Open to any ideas

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40EX653 cant see serviio VIA AirPort Exp

I'm having the same problem with a BRAVIA KDL-46EX655 and Airport Express. Serviio recognizes the TV but the TV won't recognize any server in the WIFI network. Has tried everything to no avail. If someone could shade some light on this issue I'll appreciate it very much. :x

Re: Sony Bravia KDL-40EX653 cant see serviio VIA AirPort Exp

I got mine working.
Server just needed to be bounced

Here's my setup maybe it'll help you
Use AE to set static IP for both server and TV
bind serviio to new server IP
Delete all servers on network
Turn off tv completely (not standby)
Bounce server (power down, power up) not just serviio to ensure new IP takes affect
Power on TV, search for servers and I found serviio there waiting to be watched
