Movies directories with multiple kinds of files (extensions)

I suppose this bug is introduced with 1.2.1 version to which I updated yesterday. I have directories for example with multiple seasons of some series, early seasons are AVIs, new seasons are MP4s usually. It was no problem at all until I updated serviio to 1.2.1. Now I can't access files in such directories. I can access any other directories which contain video files of only one type. It applies to both real directories and virtual directories, such as Series directory - I enter it, have virtual directories with season numbers, and after entering one of them TV reports that is unable to list files, just the same way as I would enter real directory by navigating to it.
When I enter either virtual or real directory with mixed types of files I get the message that files cannot be accessed, then I only can accept the message and I'm the directory that looks like empty, though it shouldn't be.

Bug is registered there https://bitbucket.org/xnejp03/serviio/i ... e-kinds-of and I was asked to post here and link to it, as I do right now.

Update - there's more to this bug. I found directory with all MP4s that won't read either. Difference is like, after hitting OK on TV after no-access-message TV returns to the "main" serviio directory - but this can be a tv not serviio issue. So behaviour is slightly different but every info is important, I suppose. Still, this directory worked also ok on more or less previous three versions of serviio I've used up to now (except current 1.2.1).

What is your TV renderer model and profile used ?
Do you have special characters on file path ?

TV is Samsung UE32D5500, profile - dunno what you are talking about.
No special characters in the file path, f.e: F:\movies\_series\Breaking Bad\Series Title [3x04] episode title.avi, those characters were no problem with previous serviio versions.
Serviio.log - when I'm at home, and have time for it. Where to look for them?

Re: Movies directories with multiple kinds of files (extensi

You should just say log4j.xml - I get it;)
I attach log files on debug log level that covers start of server with problematic files and opening problematic directories on TV.

I've got another hint for you - I misjudged the problem and the topic title is all wrong. I got all episodes of Breaking Bad which I watched just little time ago on previous version of Serviiio - so definitely the bug came with ver. 1.2.1. All episodes have subtitles in MicroDVD (for watching on PC) and SubRip (for Serviio) formats. I can't open real directory with the episodes (all seasons 1 to 5) and can't open virtual directories season 1 and 4 (but can open 2,3 and 5). For sure the problem is then with only some kind of files and I think you should look for the bug by analyzing metadata of first season of my Breaking Bad episodes. This is because it has only seven episodes and thanks to that data to analyze is really narrowed.

In the txt files in the archive you will find metadata of all my season 1 BB episodes. Password is 'dachsund09'.

Ok, it's related to subtitles. For me to reproduce this, can you give me a directory listing of Season 1 folder of BB? You can PM it to me if you wish.

Re: Movies directories with multiple kinds of files (extensi

Like I said I've got directory with ALL BB episodes (cannot access). Seasons directories are virtual directories in serviio (can't access s1 and s4).
Below is the listing:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/20341962/list.txt
and all subtitles for season1 that are in the folder:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/203 ... %20Bad.rar

I confirm this is subtitle issue. I deleted all MicroDVD subtitles and all is fine. If I deleted all SubRip subtitles and left MicroDVD the problem persists.
Did you add support for MicroDVD subtitles? In Poland most common are MicroDVD subtitles and I have been converting them to SubRip only for serviio. Now I wouldn't have to do it... at least when MicroDVD support is fixed.
If you do not support such subtitles, then I suppose you should ignore their files, like before?.

Thank you, Petr for fast diag and thanks to all developers for the one-and-only-and-best DLNA software worth using on PCs.
Petr, tell me when I can delete files on the host.

Thanks, got the files now. I'll have a look. MicroDVD subs should be supported.

Re: Movies directories with multiple kinds of files (extensi

Thanks Petr.

Regarding MicroDVD subtitles - what should I do to use them? I got subtitles rendered only if srt files are present in directory. If only txt files are present, subtitles are not rendered.
Should not error occur if I set PL code in preferred languages in serviio console? I cannot test this now and I'm curious...
