No Images or Videos Found

Hi All,

I have installed Serviio 1.2.1 on my Windows 7 64 bit Pro PC. Music plays happily on my Sony Bravia and my PS3, although there is a considerable lag between tracks when playing. I am using Shuffle. My router is a Netgear WNDR3700v4 wireless router. Where I bought the router they did say I could take it back ad swap it if it wasn't suitable - maybe I need a faster one?

My most pressing issue is that When I navigate to my Image folders or Video folder (from either TV or PS3) it doesn't find any files at all, coming up with the message "No Tracks Found". All my images are jpeg and all my videos are .avi. I have added all the correct folders to the Serviio Library.

1. Do I have to go to a cable lan to improve speeds with paying my music?
2. What do I have to do to get images and videos streaming?

Thats a pretty good router, doubt thats the problem.

"No tracks found" suggests your in the music menu on your Sony devices. Go into the video or picture options to list the relevant files Serviio is serving up. On your tv where you select media (model dependent) it lists video, photos, music, just make sure your in the right menu. You can see what I mean on this clip at 6:50 (it should jump to it)

I had been using the correct options, but when I go back in now (after Servioo has been running for more than a day) everything works fine. Even the music is playing without any lag between songs (it was pausing for up 45 secs before). I think it was because I had only just installed the software and the Serviio database needed time to build itself. I have over 18,000 songs and probably 10,000 or more photos. Now I can simply enjoy. I will definitely be purchasing Serviio before the trial expires. Great product

Oh blimey. That is a lot of media to scan and it does take a while... Glad its sorted.
