In my experience SERVIIO is NOT IMPROVING !

I first meet with Serviio at version 0.60 ,
And in my experience that was the MOST RELIABLE version ever...
From version 0.60 til v1.2.1 I've tried all versions but in all of them (except 0.60) I faced with same problems

In the beginning, I've just installed 0.60 and started to use in all my network with all my devices in a very reliable way.

But after this version I've always experienced insatiability problems like "sometimes Serviio server could be seen from other devices and sometimes invisible", "sometimes serving sometimes not"
I checked my PC and everything seems well, server seems running without any problem . (in Windows 7 x64)
I tried to install the software in other connected PC's and laptops, but I see insatiability problem continued on them as well (as sometimes running good, sometimes server is invisible/not running )
I've 1 NAS and 1 other router which has nas function on it in my network. They are always running stable in my network.

(I was using Plugin Youtube.groovy . Additionaly after version 0.60 it becomes unfunctional as well. Although URL is right and has many video feedbacks inside, when I explore the folder by serviio folders shows "No Video" message ???)

(By the way, in version 1.2 it was at least running sometimes. BUT after I installed version 1.2.1 I NEVER see the server from other devices. But from PC end, everything seems running well as always seen)

I tried to uninstall and turn back to version 0.60 and I see again everything runs stable and well. (I thought about to turn back to old version but it is annoying that every time it asks me to update to a new version)

Is there any idea, what can be wrong with the new versions in my situation?

Re: In my experience SERVIIO is NOT IMPROVING !

Have you tried any of the following:
Wasn't a user for version 0.6 but my experience is Serviio is head and shoulders above any other DLNA server I've tested, backed by a community that offers some great support. Sure, some issue exist but am confident these will get resolved in time - I can only imagine the challenge to develop software for multiple operating systems, to work with many multiple renderers, for many, many multiple media formats (and the various poor implementations of those formats by cheap and nasty encoders) all on the foundation of a protocol, DLNA, which can be implemented strictly, partially or poorly by vendors.... yes. I'm a fan :D

ps. I haven't had to do any of the above - for me it just works and gets detected pretty much always. My only issue was the sleep problem - but that went away with 1.2.1 (for me, but not for everyone). Also, youTube works perfectly for me - can't suggest much - have you updated the plug-in to make sure you have the latest?

I had similar experiences and finally had a winxp machine that failed all the time that allowed me to test it. My solution was similar to the one posted here concerning dependencies.

What's wrong is your failure to post each specific problem you are having along with the debug logs as explained in many posts within this forum. How would you expect a doctor to help you if you just phoned him up and said "I have a pain", and not even told him where it is?

Also doesn't look like you have made any effort to search the forums to see if others have had similar problems and apply their solutions, for example have you set the bound address for your server?

Every version of Serviio has run great from the get go for me on my Samsung and Android from a W7/64 server so the problems you are having are not in Serviio.

I just asked if there any idea as a starting point of my trying for solution.
Because I am not a doctor as you wrote, patients only tells about pains in the beginning step and doctors direct them by the right questions in next steps..

Some of my friends here already gave me valuable ideas for searching the solution. Thanks for them.

And your post means absulately nothing.

You are talking about debug log, but I am an amateur user, what is it?..I GUESS I don't have to know all technical things in order to ask help from a forum..Or do I need to have a certificate before writing a question here?

You are talking about I didn't put any effort for solving the problem or for searching the forum. HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT? Is it true because you guess it like that?
(Just think about from version 0.60 to 1.2.1 how much time passed. From that time till now I tried to solve this problem and I read the forum very much in these times, but couldn't solve the problem. As a last hope I wrote here and request help of somebody. BUT I didn't request these meaningless words in your post)

And at last you made a one more genious comment which puts the last point : "Problem you are having are not Serviio"..Really? Thank you for saying that....
At first learn to read and understand what is written on the screen; I never said that "Serviio's new versions are worst then old versions", I said that "IN MY EXPERIENCE...". I of course know that something is wrong in my situation, not in serviio. But I couldn't find the reason, that is why I wrote here.

But in all forums someone is really writing helpful and valuable things, some is like you, writing only empty words....it is natural also...
