Serviio Doesnt show on TV unless restart the service

Hi,

I have Windows 7, and a Samsung PS59D6900. Whenever I switch on my Win 7 PC Serviio automatically starts, and the Serviio console icon appears in the system tray, saying Serviio is running. I switch on the Samsung and there is no connection with Serviio. I then go back to my PC, open the console, and stop the serviio service, then close the console. I then go to Computer, right click, Manage, Services, and start the serviio service there, restart the console, and lo and behold the Samsung now sees serviio and serviio sees the Samsung.

I have tried powering the Samsung first, rather than the PC, but still the same. I always have to stop then restart the serviio service.
The TV is wired connection, Im not using the wireless.

Surely i shouldn't have to restart the service everytime i want to use serviio??

is your windows 7 machine going into sleep mode at any point? There is a known issue with sleeping your serviio server

Same problem here. I have three Samsung TVs which prior to either 1.2.1 or the version before worked perfectly. Now it hardly broadcast its presense. Eventually it does but it can take 10-xx minutes before it does.

Starting recently played items from serviio works fine but serviio media server just isn't showing up on any of my TVs so I can't browse them. The recently played items are a thing from the Samsung TV and has nothing to do with serviio. It seems to stream fine... just not make itself noticed.

I'm also running W7 and with absolutely no sleep enabled.

There have been problems with some routers' IGMP settings. Turning IGMP proxy off resolved the issue.

Maybe router firmware update? try the above.

No - it has nothing to do with router - I have my setup unchanged for 2 years and the problem started to occur only with the resent Serviio version 1.2.1.

So I'm positive the problem is with Serviio.
