[?] Transcoding MKV video files with DTS audio

Hi Everyone,
After a year of using Plex (with all its problems), I was just introduced to Serviio and the service looks great.
I encountered a problem playing MKV video files with DTS audio using Serviio -- videos Plex is able to play with no problem.
I understand I should use transcoding to solve this issue, but I'm a noob and I don't really know how transcoding works.
I'm using a Mac. Can anyone help???

I have Serviio server installed on a Mac running OS X 1.7.5. I want to play the movies on a Google TV box Sony NSZ-GS7 using PlayPoint app.

I am a noob too but this is what I know so far:
1. You can use handbrake software to change the format of your mkv files to a format that the google tv will natively support
2. Serviio is much more to setup than Plex but does look like the hard work could pay off in a lighter load on the server you run it on
3. My Serviio install console settings, under renderer profile, so far has a drop down for the renderer but no options, does yours allow you to choose one? If not we probably have to find one or write one :D
4. Can a pro out there let us know the best way to move forward? Thanks
