samsung ue40c6000

Hi everybody,

My experience with samsung s share manager was a comlete disaster. After a lot of searching i finally came to the conclusion that serviio definitely is the best server ap on the web.

But there is still room for improvement for i have a couple of issues:

- when i run the console under rederer profile samsung c series/player then there are some HD mkv files where the sound is missing

- then i tried to run the console under profile samsung a and b series and the the same file HAD sound but functionalities as fastforward and rewind dissapeared

also under a and b series the transcoding works fine, but under c series nothing happens.

Can this be fixed?

That's because the C series TV can play almost everything natively.

Re: samsung ue40c6000

yes indeed,

but my question is about the fact that some files will play under profile a-series or b-series with sound (where transcoding will activate because of the file format not beeing supported by dlna standards). That's why i find this software awesome.

And when i choose the profile suited for my TV set c series/player the transcoding doesn't kick in when it's needed. If I play the file through USB there's no problem at all as you say the TV set can play it natively. But whenever i try to play it through dlna there's no sound.

I understand that it is an issue of file format and that dlna is very picky, But serviio having transcoding would ease a lot of RE-encoding of video files in my case.

Thanks for your support

Also I would like to add that samsung ue40c6000 can read almost every fileformat but through dlna it is not the case.
