Re: version 1.3 make windows 7 64b slower

Servio taking lots of resources and slowing system down since upgrade yesterday. I have run Servio for a year on 5 computers in the house. The main computer serves files from itself and the NAS via Servio, a total of nearly 100.000 files over 6TB.
Using WIn 8 / 64
I stopped Servio from scanning my library and all is well, when it is allowed to scan again all slows down.
Full library scan will however take a very long time. I have re-enabled the auto-update and am going to let Servio do what it wants for a few days or so.
Servio has so far been brilliant so I am happy to accept this is all due to initial full library scan.

Re: version 1.3 make windows 7 64b slower

Seems to me that the search could be a selectable option in the console for each folder just like the metadata and scan for updates boxes. I use neither of these and have them all turned off unless I want to do a manual update. I'd like to do the same for search indexes which I will never use.

How do you know you will never use search? ServiiGo already uses it and future MediaBrowser will support it too. I'd say especially you with hundreds of online feeds would find this useful :-)

I'm sure there are many users who, like myself, are not and have no interest in using MediaBrowser or ServiiGo and thus will never have any use for the search facility.

Re: version 1.3 make windows 7 64b slower

Would appear serviio is still doing something with my photo library...

lots of these in the log for different files, and pc running unresponsively as well.
2013-08-14 10:34:34,218 INFO [LibraryUpdatesCheckerThread] Updated 'IMG_3700' (E:\My Documents\My Pictures\DVD - 8\20080203\raw\IMG_3700.CR2) in Library

also a fair few of these :

2013-08-14 10:35:55,339 WARN [RepositoryView$LibraryStatusCheckerThread] Error retrieving library update status: Connection Error (1000) - Connection refused: connect

Id be interested to try any beta versions out for this issue if it helps?

At the moment I have to kill the serviio service while I want to work, and start it when im not using the PC, or want to watch something.

It just refreshes all our images. I'll add you to the beta group, there is 1.3.1 beta available in the betatesters forum.

Re: version 1.3 make windows 7 64b slower

I have to put in my 2 cents to this thread.

I rarely log into the forum but after this latest 1.3 upgrade, I'm experiencing a number of issues and felt I should let you know.

I'm running Win 7 64bit with about 800 video files being fed through a number of devices
My computer is not behaving as it used to, it has definitely slowed down.
There have also been some other changes which i won't bring up right now.

Above all, I need to address the main thing which is that I cannot sustain a wireless connection.
it takes about 7-10 minutes before any one of my devices find the Serviio computer.
Once I see the main computer I select it to log in and soon as I log in, the connection drops.
I've been at this all day troubleshooting to no avail.

I'm sure the support folks are addressing a number of issues and I'm a fan of the program however, I need to revert back to the previous version. I've lost all my abilities to use my Serviio since the upgrade.

I don't have the previous version on my computer, is there a place I can obtain it.

Previous versions can be found here: http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Serviio/old-versions

Before you do, it could you post a detailed log showing when the network drops out. I don't believe this issue (network connection dropping out) has been widely experienced.

I thought I'd ditto this. I use Serviio purely to serve files to my BR player, I never go near any of the other functionality.

Re: [SOLVED] version 1.3 make windows 7 64b slower

Same problem here in Windows 7 x32.

Every libray check put both cores of the processor at 100% for several minutes and render my server computer nearly unusable.

Even playing a mp3 in another computer (through a samba share of the server) become imposible.

I don't remember this to happen before last update. Will go back and check.

Regards and bigest thaks for yor wonderfull program.
