Thanks
guru1d wrote:I tried again with "your" files to switch the language in debug mode it worked (saw the symbols and written on TV audio 1 stereo) (<-- this again with error shown on TV about not supportet content)

Thanks,so all features seems available with MKV files.

guru1d wrote:I second test: not possible mp4 file is not shown in directory of TV (even I know it is already in index).

??
Do you download this one ? http://ftp.akl.lt/Video/Sintel/sintel-1280-surround.mp4
with srt sub file : http://durian.blender.org/wp-content/co ... tel_ru.srt
This file should be played in native format with srt resource (check on debug log).

guru1d wrote:I tried a other file with external Subtitles, MKV it was shown in list, but not supportet by TV (without transcoding)
Do you see a pattern in those not supportet MKVs? To make them playable? (those normally only work on Bravia profile 2012)

No see nothing wrong. You can try to rebuild the mkv container with MkvToolnix tools.
If its something with the AVC/h264 encoding settings, you have will have to re-encode video track

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W serie)

No I tried with sintel-2048-surround.mp4. This is still not shown on TV!

Now tested with sintel-1280-surround.mp4 this is shown, but not possible to enable subtitles and not possible to switch audio track! Feature not available.

Rebuild with MKVToolnix doesn't work :( on MKVs which are not supportet. So for those I need to chance profile to 2012.

THe maximum resolution is 1920x1080, 2048 is not supported.

OK, so that confirm that only mkv support this feature.

not lucky. its probably with something on h264 encoding. well stay with 2012 profile for these files.

Another think... Could you try chapters feature with mkv files ?

thanks

I will update the profile to enable hardsub for all other format than mkv...

Thank you for new profile will add it.

You are right, I didn't pay attention.

I will try, any sample? Thank you.

I'm using the profile with a KDL-42W654 at the moment and it all seems good! I've run through most of the formats I have in my library and everything plays well :)

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

Hi again,

I don't know if it is related to version 1.3 or to new profile. I switched to newest profile after updating serviio

avi files are not listed. (but listet if I switch to profile 2012)

webresources not listet only see empty folders

Online RSS "Sport2" empty folder on profle 2013 (working and shown channels on profile 2012)

Online RSS "Sport1" empty folder on profle 2013 (not working with profile 2012 either)

"sport1": https://sites.google.com/site/serviiors ... Sports.rss
"Sport2": https://sites.google.com/site/neilsrss/ ... Sports.rss

regarding your question about chapter features. I watched http://trailers.divx.com/divx_prod/prof ... 19Mbps.mkv
But how to test? if I click options "next chapter", then next file of folder starts playing, not a Chapter within the "WiegelesHeliSki_DivXPlus_19Mbps.mkv".

Thank you.

I noticed the lack of AVI support last night as well, I've tweaked the Sony Bravia 2013 profile to include a MediaFormatProfile element for AVI which seems to fix it. I've also added in transcoding support for digital camera video formats which was missing as well:

  Code:

Chapters in MKV files aren't supported either. I tried playing http://trailers.divx.com/divx_prod/profiles/WiegelesHeliSki_DivXPlus_19Mbps.mkv but chapter skip results in a "This feature is not supported" message.

Thanks,

Thank you chilano lists avis now again :).

All but this played well: (only on profile 2009 it works) can you see what else to add that this codec will be transcoded right, too? Thank you.

I am wondering if new firmware from Sony might support more codecs or files? How to test from time to time to avoid for those transcoding?

I thought best would be to use only Generic profile, but then Sony shows no content.
------
Edit:
I added this (found in other profile of blurayplayer, not this dx50 avi is working), but don't know if something should be written better?
  Code:
<Matches container="avi" vCodec="mpeg4" vFourCC="div3,div4,div5,divx,dm4v,dx50" />

-----

Edit2:

now Online source RSS "sport2" is working on this profile :), too.

That looks like it should fix it for you already, but you could try using a generic rule for AVI's with MPEG4 (DivX/Xvid encoded) instead:

  Code:
<Matches container="avi" vCodec="mpeg4" />

I'm using a KDL-42W653 UK model with the latest firmware. I get the following output for the supported formats, which looks to be exactly the same as the formats given for the KDL-55W905A as well:

I'm guessing MKV chapter select is a feature which isn't supported on the new Bravia's?

Re: Bravia 2013 models (W & X9005A serie)

I updated the 2013 topic and profile: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11147&p=72112#p72112
With your modification on AVI and some camera format.

But I comment the lines
<!--Matches container="3gp" vCodec="mpeg4" /-->
because according to this, 3gp - MPEG4 SP@L6, ASP@L5, ACEP@L4 should be supported.

And
<!--Matches container="3gp" vCodec="h263" /-->
because according to this, 3gp - h263 should be supported, in fact after H.263 is the H.264 standard, also known as AVC and MPEG-4 part 10
MPEG-4 Part 2 is H.263 compatible in the sense that a basic H.263 bitstream should be correctly decoded by an MPEG-4 Video decoder.

Do you have some samples? and could you try ?

Thanks
