Problem unter Linux Ubuntu

I installed Serviio on Ubuntu Server 12.04 x64

I hope that all programms are correct installed.

When I want to configure with:

sudo /opt/serviio/serviio-1.3.1/bin/serviio-console.sh

Then I get the error:

Where is the problem?

I added at a Windows machine the:

Edit C:\Program Files\Serviio\bin\ServiioConsole.exe.vmoptions adding:

-Dserviio.remoteHost=XXX.XXX.X.XXX

The console unter windows started.

I have the same problem. I'm running ubuntu server (headless) 13.10. I tried openjdk-7 initially then tried 6 but it didn't make any difference. It also reports ffmpeg is missing, but it isn't.

At this point the server seems to run okay, as in it's discoverable on the network, but I guess I can't add any media to it without the console?

you cannot run the console on a headless server.

FFmpeg is probably not on path for the user running serviio. You can get around that by passing ffmpeg.location system variable (search the forum and check FAQ on how to set it up)

If it is not a headless server, try the following command as the user you are trying to start the console with;
export DISPLAY=:0.0
This will get rid of the java error.
