Showing Photo's an an E6

A new member as from today.

I have prepared 20 pictures (jpeg format) all measuring 7 x 5.25, having read that pictures above 8x8 are not supported. Whilst the thumbnails are visible on screen, none of these pictures will show when selected. Another picture, (without any alterations) I received via an Iphone will. :?

Can anyone provide any constructive suggestions that will help me overcome this problem please?

Regards,

RonBin

Don't really understand. The size - you mean inches, as in paper photo? That doesn't make sense in digital word ;-)

You have to give us more details, like what device and profile you're using, post the detailed log etc.

Re: Showing Photo's an an E6

Thanks for your reply. The photograph was taken with a Lumix G5 Camera in RAW format and was converted to a JPEG with the following dimensions. Width 5.123" = 1537 Pixels - Height 7" = 2100 Pixels and a Resolution of 300 Pixels. I use Photoshop CS5 for my photo processing and have tried various sizes and resolution but none of the shots seem to be supported by the E6 yet, when I open a picture to sent to me by IPhone, that one opens.

You mention a log in your email, which log are you referring to, is it the exif log from the shot? if so, I have provided a screen shot of it which I hope will help.

Re: Showing Photo's an an E6

I see some devices that does not support "Highest" and "High" quality levels of a NX2 or Photoshop converted jpeg file. (4.4.4)
Need to have jpegs with a medium quality level.(4.2.0)
Could you check that on Photoshop when you save file ?

Re: Showing Photo's an an E6

All my pictures were in "High" level after being saved for web and other utilities, but will try a few at "Medium" level. I am not sure what the numbers 4.4.4 and 4.2.0 mentioned in your email represent, can you enlighten me please?

Kind regards,

Ron

4:4:4, 4:2:2, 4:2:0 is for Chroma subsampling : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chroma_subsampling

4:4:4 is the best result but not supported by all devices.
4:2:0 is the baseline result (with some loss on Chroma informations), supported by all devices.
4:2:2 is between.

I'm not a Photoshop specialist, I don't know how photoshop manage chroma subsampling with quality option during jpg saving.
