Folders not sorted alphabetically

My TV shows my share folders in the order in which they were added in Servioo Library "shared folders" window. I'd like them to appear in alphabetical order. Is this possible?

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

Also, if I try to sort the view by name with my television remote, it doesn't work, the connection is lost.

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

Another problem concerning root folders. I I share an entire HDD root folder (e.g. E:/), then there is a disconnect bug. If I navigate the folder structure in my tv browser, and then go back to parent folder to reach the root/main folder, serviio disconnects completely.

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

Sorting - that's how it's done currently.

Sorting on the TV - that is a custom feature of the Samsung software, not compatible with DLNA, and Serviio doesn't support it.

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

Zip, is it possible to reorder the main shared folders into alphabetical order?

I have to say I've finally got Serviio working on a Synology after much faffing about, and compared with Plex, I much prefer Serviio. Plex is a dog's dinner of a software and talk about a pretentious bunch of Devs with zero customer support, not sure how they get away with such poor business practices. I'm now considering building a Windows based server using flexRAID and dumping Synology so Serviio runs smoother and updates would be free of issues.

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

That could be possible, but others might complain ;-)

I think I'll just add a user ordering of the folders in a future version of the console.

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

Hi,

I was wondering if this feature was still planned? I did not realize that once I added folders they displayed in that order on my system. I would like them to sort alphabetically without having to perform a re-scan of the library.

Any new info?

Re: Folders not sorted alphabetically

I think that this would be a very useful feature.

I have organized all of my subfolders alphabetically and that works great.

As for the main folders, I just delete them and recreate them in the order that I would like them to be displayed. :)
