incorporate peerCDN in to MB

Hi
I think a good feature to incorporate in to the MB browser would be PeerCDN

It is a small piece of java script that runs client side in the browser using webRTC helping reduce strain on upload limits of the server by use peer to peer technology with multiple people watching the same stream.
More info here https://peercdn.com/

Could help with limited upload connections

Just wondered what your thoughts on it were?

Re: incorporate peerCDN in to MB

probably not possible since everyone is hosting their own server and delivering content that is quite likely to be different at the source file level, different with regard to the indexing and meta data, and different with with regard to the streaming parameters -- a CDN, especially one based on a peer to peer model, requires that the content being delivered is identical (otherwise the algorithms can't reliably do their slice and dice magic)

On the other hand, if you are talking about an installation where you have a large number of users connecting to the same instance (or if they all went through a common proxy the way PlexPass does), then something could potentially be done along these lines.

Re: incorporate peerCDN in to MB

I didn't mean via everyone using Serviio, only the people watching from your personal serviio.

I.e a new video gets added, 3 different people on different internet connections start watching it, then peerCDN kicks in and takes the strain off
