Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hey Jules, thanks for all of the posts, they have been most informative.

I am currently having an issue with the plugin, but I am under the impression it might be related to the new twitch.tv changes.

I am using Serviio 1.3.1 and the latest twitch plugin in your post, along with the newest version of ffmpeg.

My issue: when I go to my Online folder on my TV, select a stream and load in any of the resolutions, live, 1080, 720, etc. theyplay for about 5 seconds. After, it will start to buffer (or on my Samsung TV, say Loading...), drop to the next lowest resolution, and complete the process until it has run every one in the list once. It will iterate through this process no matter which stream resolution I start with, ex.: if I start with Low, it will go to high, then cycle all the way trough and then just close out to the root folder of the Stream.

Any ideas?

Thanks again!

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

I figured out my own problem. I havent restarted Serviio in like 2 months on this machine. I restarted it and the service, and now the HLS streams are showing up in the Stream folder, and they work fine. Sorry if I wasted any of your time!

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

okay

on a sidenote, it seems like twitch has turned off RTMP today entirely. i'll adapt the plugin in the next few days to not even bother trying to get them.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Really dumb question but how do I try viewing in vlc?

I can view through the remote browser (tab in serviio console) so does it matter if I can view through VLC?

What I mean is, if I can't view something in my browser pointed to localhost:2323/serviiobrowser it won't work in VLC right? Pretty much what I've noticed is if there is a problem I notice through the remote browser, I won't be able to view it on my PS3/360.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

you're right; if the media browser is accessible to you, it'll suffice for unproblematic testing.

VLC procedure is: display playlist, on the left go to local network -> universal plug'n'play, wait until it has loaded the media library, look at the relevant folders.

if you can watch the stream in the mediabrowser of serviio, then it's a problem with either the ps3, or serviio's profile for the ps3. look at whether you have your ps3's ip set to a ps3-compatible profile in the serviio console.

V9 is up; only change is that RTMP is removed. this should make grabbing the API slightly faster.

I'm very sad to see that it's no longer working with my PS3 and without touching anything. If someone find a solution in the future he'll be welcome to say it :)

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Very sorry. The problem was indeed the plugin version. I saw in the first page all the versions but didn't understand that I have to download again the file. And I didn't saw the file on the page either^^
Again, sorry.

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

Hi,

I've been using the plugin for almost a year now, and although I've ran into some problems before, I was always able to fix them. This time however I don't seem to find why it stopped working.
I use an Xbox360 to watch streams.
I am running serviio 1.3.1 and use v9 of the plugin.

I did a fresh install/download of both today after I ran into problems, to no avail.
It doesn't work on any quality setting.
It is worth noting that youtube videos still work without a hitch.
It does however work when using VLC.

The only relevant entries in the log that I find are the following:
  Code:
2013-12-27 13:11:59,477 WARN  [ResourceDeliveryProcessor] Error while processing resource, sending back 404 error. Message: Cover art doesn't exist for item http://video12.ams01.hls.justin.tv/hls61/artosis_8003417936_48104456/high/index.m3u8?token=id=8177597746539836072,bid=8003417936,exp=1388232672,node=video12-1.ams01.hls.justin.tv,nname=video12.ams01,fmt=high&sig=cd2480d07eb6668daf146b8bd6644361d804cba3&

and

  Code:
2013-12-27 13:12:04,112 WARN  [PipedOutputBytesReader] Error reading bytes stream from external process: Stream closed

Re: Twitch.tv/Justin.tv

if it works when using VLC, then the problem isn't with the plugin, but your xbox or the way you've set up serviio (profiles usually). also, this may be a complete log, but not a detailed log.
I am running serviio 1.3.1 and use v9 of the plugin.

I did a fresh install/download of both today after I ran into problems, to no avail.
then you should be running 1.4 which was released on december 20th.
