Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Hi every one !

I'm sorry, but I think the main subject of this thread does not seam to be solved, and you talk about another problem.
I've the disconnection problem after about 28 minutes on a Samsung TV (UE46EH6030). Serviio is installed on a Debian, and the modification of the "serviio.advertisementDuration" parameter doesn't seam to modify the behaviour. Is anyone has a lead to follow ?

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

What are "advertisement SSDP messages"

Aside from the disconnect problem Serviio seems too good to be free. Should I be seeing advertisements when I run Serviio?

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Hi,

I have the disconnect problem also.
In my case the movies work fine.
The problem is present only when I play music videos. This are short videos ~4 minutes long. Randomely, in the middle of the second or third video the disconnection error pops-up. I used Serviio 1.0.1 and 1.1 the same thing.

The reason I think that this problem is related to some profile problem in Serviio is that recently I tryed a Trial version of Wild Media Server and this kind of problem which I described does not appear.
I don't have technical skills but I wonder if I can import the Samsung profile from Wild Media Server to Serviio to see if the problem persist. Is it posible to be compatible?

I have a Samsung Tv identified by Serviio as C/D profile. No firewall to antivir problems no network problems.

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Since I've installed update 1032 on my UE46ES6100 all disconnect issues are a thing of the past. I had to set serviio.advertisementDuration to a large value before, but it's not necessary anymore.

Just thought I'd share.

One more thing, it also happens when I use sopcast, but it does not happen when I watch some online channels. Maybe the info can help to sort out the issue...

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Hello, I hope you guys understand me, do not speak English, I tried youtube plugin, I have the problem that takes time when the connection is broken (2-3 minutes), I notice that this happens when the video finishes buffering, I managed to stabilize the connection of video using ffmpeg restricting BW whit NetLimiter to 115kB, with this I could see the video and It cut 10 seconds missing. The ideal is to find another solution but unfortunately I do not know programming, so I hope you can solve this. The problem occurs on my samsung TV 6030. Could perhaps improve it if we can force the transcoding but not if it is now or as forcing trascoding. If anyone knows Spanish, we will understand better.

Thanks

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Hi, They needed would advise using Serviio 1.1 installed on the Synology DS212j NAS and connected TV is Samsung UE55ES6570, Serviio takes too long to start up and load the files before, several times previously disconnected when they finally manage to start the movie, then it works without problems. Do you have any advice on how to remove this? Thank you.

Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

Do you have a wired/wireless router between your tv and server?

If so, check for any setting related to "IGMP snooping"; google "dlna igmp snooping" and also the same with your router model so that you'll find the settings suitable for you.

For reference, the same might happen with a unix box, acting as a router/bridge, running with kernel 3.5; in this case, downgrade to version 3.4 or upgrade to 3.7

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

you might want to begin your own thread.. and you can start it off by posting detailed server logs after experiencing the issue.

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

I have the same problem.
My TV (UE 55 ES8000) disconnects after 22 minutes and I have to reboot it to be able to use the server again.
This happens only with NON allshare servers like serviio.
Also, this does NOT happen with my F8000 or my Samsung BD players.

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

TV: 37ES6300, stream to TV using powerline, 200Mb broadband connection

I use Serviio for beaming Acestream to my tele. Streams up to 1,200kbs per second work perfectly and don't generally disconnect.

However 2,000kbs streams do disconnect quite frequently. It may play for 30 mins then disconnect, or it may just cut out every few minutes constantly. I have disconnected windows media network, this did seem to help initially but has not fixed the problem.

Any idea why the increased bitrate would lead to increased disconnections??

Thanks

Re: Samsung AllShare TV disconnect problem

I think this is definitely a problem with the Samsung TV's rather than it being Serviio, I have a WD TV Live streaming box in my bedroom upstairs which works fine with Serviio on my old Sony TV, I have nothing but disconnection problems with my UE39F5500 TV. I have the same sort of issues everyone else has posted about I can be watching a film for 10-20-30 odd minutes and then it disconnects and says "Device Disconnected", I also cannot fast forward or rewind it does not let you. In order for the TV to connect back to Serviio I have to put it on Stand by and then turn it back on it then reconnects. Has anyone got a fix for this which they have been successful with please my original post is listed below for this issue.
