Samsung D series transcoding and ff/rw

The problems with Samsung D series not being able to ff/rw transcoded files has been reported here often enough. But is there any way to select which files get transcoded and which ones don't? I think it would involve editing the profile.

For example, when I turn on transcoding I can view more files that would otherwise say "video codec not supported", but at the same time some files get transcoded (and cannot ff/rw) that otherwise play fine without transcoding. I would like to leave transcoding turned on, but not have it transcode the ones that don't need it.

(For files that play but ff/rw do not work, the duration is almost always displayed as 01:03:30 regardless of the actual length of the video. Not sure if that means anything, but thought I'd mention it.)

Here are 2 examples. What I would like to happen is that with transcoding turned on have the first file get transcoded but the second one not.
