Supported/Unsupported files and PS3 - Anyone?

I'm getting some movies coming up as unsupported on my PS3. Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for to identify which files should play and which won't?

Here's one that does play fine...

What's causing my PS3 to spit its dummy out? With the first movie Serviio performs flawlessly. On the second, nothing. It seems very much pot luck as the only real difference I can see is the writing application. But then I'm no expert which is why I'm asking here

Serviio, with the PS3 profile selected, remux matroska container to mpegts container (copy video track and probably transcode audio track).
Could you enable detailed logging an check the ffmpeg command line used ?

Nothing obvious, however you may be able to find more info out by doing an ffmpeg - i on the file (see viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1123) and see if it shows any errors. As all MKV's are transcoded for the PS3, you could also do a "manual" transcode and see what errors are produced:

• Turn on detailed logging, and restart your Serviio service;
• Play the file
• Look in the log file for the invoked ffmpeg command (also look for any errors at this stage in the log file)
• Copy the invoked command
• Open a command prompt and paste the command. Look for any errors/warning etc while the command runs.

It may be caused by something weird in the container - if this is the case it can often be fixed by simply remuxing the file - from a command prompt run:

ffmpeg -i "E:\Movies 2\Unsupported\Unsupported.mkv" -c copy -map 0 "E:\Movies 2\Unsupported\Test.mkv"

This will create a new file hopefully fixing any container issues (ps. you can also change the extension of resultant Test file to .mp4 - this will enable the PS3 to play the file without transcoding).
