PLEASE HELP!! NOT SUPPORTED FILE FORMAT on UN55D8000

Hello All.

Really need help and frustrated to no end trying to figure out why I cannot play anything on my UN55D8000 using Serviio from
my desktop PC running windows 7 64 Bit. I can send files to the TV, and for now I'm just trying to play music (MP3 files). But
every time I get the same error on the TV: NOT SUPPORTED FILE FORMAT !!! The screen says "Loading", then displays the song
title and some file info, then the big white box with the famous words NOT SUPPORTED FILE FORMAT pops up!

Here's what I know and tried:

- Allshare is setup on the TV, PC is "ALLOWED" to access TV
- the TV is "Wired" using CAT-6 to the local LAN (Network Status shows the IP address and connected to the LAN)
- the PC is on the same LAN and can see the TV in the network
- Serviio (V 1.4.1.2) is running on the PC, can see the TV, and is GREEN
- The TV will play the same files if I connect a USB hard drive with the files to the TV
- The TV has the latest updates (current firmware is T-GAP8AKUC-1029.0) as far as I know
- Also tried using the Allshare app from the PC but it give me the same error message: NOT SUPPORTED FILE FORMAT
- I have a laptop running Windows 8, connected via Wireless on the LAN, and CAN PLAY the same files on the TV using Allshare.
The laptop also shows up on "SOURCE" list of the TV two times - one as NETWORK and the other as the computer name
- Tried uninstalling Serviio and reinstalling, but still no luck. Even tried using Serviio v1.3.1, but no luck either.

Please, if anyone knows what's going on here, please help. I'm finished wasting time trying to figure out why it's not working.

Thanks in advance!

Looks like you are using Generic profile rather that the Samsung D one.

Yes I was using the Generic Profile for the Windows Media Player, but not for the TV, so I checked both again. The TV was set to the Samsung D profile,
but Windows Media Player was set to the Generic Profile. So I changed the Media Player to the Samsung D profile, saved it, and tried again, but I'm still
getting the same "NOT SUPPORTED FILE FORMAT" error. Any other ideas why this might be happening?

Just for fun, I installed Serviio on my laptop running Windows 8 and on the same network (using WiFi and Ethernet hard wired). After installing Serviio,
I tried playing the same file from the laptop to the same TV and it worked perfectly using both WiFi and Hard Wired. So I don't think it has to do with
the TV or the network. Maybe something else like JAVA or something interfering with Serviio, just a guess!

NOTE: At one point many months ago this did work successfully. At that time I also noticed that there was a Serviio icon that appeared on the TV Source
list on the lift side of the screen when you press the "Source" button. That icon no longer appears on the screen at any time during the attempted playback.

Included Serviio log file from today (edited out music library entries to reduce size)

After more troubleshooting, it looks like my Windows OS is hosed up somewhere and is causing the above problem.
I know this because I booted an older backup Windows 7 partition with the same software, ran Serviio and Windows
Media Player using the same .MP3 files, and it worked fine. The files played on the TV, and both the Serviio and the
Allshare network icons showed up in the source list on the right side of the TV. I could also access the music folders
on the PC from the TV.

Has anyone else ever had this problem, and if so how did you resolve it. Sure the old partition works, but it's much
slower and older, and isn't something I can use on a daily basis. Recommendations are very welcomed!

Thanks!

the log doesn't include any incoming request for the media file. You probably cut it too short

And that's probably the problem. I included the entire log file, so if it's not there, that would explain why it's not working properly.
As I stated in my previous reply, I believe the problem lies somewhere in my OS and there is something blocking the incoming
request from getting to the Serviio server process. An identical but earlier copy of my windows partition works properly, which
would indicate there's some piece of software or update that was added between now and that partition backup that's causing the
communication issue, but I cannot narrow it down. I've tried uninstalling all software I've added since then, but so far nothing
has worked. Maybe I just need to try to remove Windows updates or do a refresh of the OS. I'm out of ideas except possibly
copying the older working Serviio partition to my newer raid disk and using that instead of my current one.

Any ideas are appreciated and warmly welcomed!
