Re: Profile for Support of Android Devices

you probably need a local Video transcoding section matching mkv with DTS. Check out the Samsung B series profile for an example.

Re: Profile for Support of Android Devices

every time I try to add this to the profiles for serviio and restart, serviio refuses to start up and claims the service isn't running. I remove the android profile and everything works.

Not sure what the go is, I'm copying it exactly as described and using bubbleupnp but serviio itself seems to take issue with the profile.

Running serviio 1.4.1.2

EDIT: Nevermind, that was fixed because of the previously mentioned subtitle thing.

However, while using bubbleupnp on my HTC One XL, I still hear no audio streaming the videos through serviio. Transcoding is enabled, but I get zilcho, video only. Am I missing something? I tried rockplayer, upnplay and streaming media player with it and they all had the same result, please help!

Depends on the codecs in the video and the codecs your player can handle. MX player is the recommended one. You need to post ffmpeg result for the videos that do not play.

Re: Profile for Support of Android Devices

I am new to Serviio and would appreciate some support. I installed Serviio 14.1.2 on my QNAP NAS and I am using BubbleUPNP on my Samsung GAlaxyTab 3 - Everything was working well until yesterday even with the generic DLNA profiles and I was able to stream music to the tablet. Then I added to the console I added my entire music library which contains > 4000 items and is approx 350 GB and BubbleUNPNP is unable to connect. Can this be resolved by adding the the android profile? How can I do that on my NAS (not a linux expert)? This does not seem to be a BubbleUPNP issue as I am able to stream music files if I use the NAs built-in DLNA server. I also tried to increase the timeout in BubbleUPNP but that did not work. Is there anything else I can try to resolve the problem? Thanks
