Support for BitLocker Drives.
Hello,
i would like to present an issue i have been having for a while and ask if you could somehow provide a solution.
Your software runs as a service and as such it boots up together with the computer on start.
I am using bitlocker to encrypt my drives and as such they require manual password input before they can be used on each reboot.
In light of this, every time i reboot and unlock the drives the software start recrawling the entire library.
I assume on boot the drives are disabled and as such the software removes the previous files from the index basically clearing the whole index. After the drives are unlocked he finds new folders to crawl and recreates the index. I have 50000+ files that get crawled and it takes several hours to complete after each reboot.
Is it possible to recognize bitlocked drives and wait till they are unlocked and not perform the index clean and recreate on remounting.
Or an alternative solution would be for the program to not even start looking until the timeout expires.
There is the "Library refresh" option, that has the "Keep library automatically updated" and can be configured in minutes.
It would be great if the program's default behaviour on first start would be to wait the set up minutes and then do a recrawl, instead of instant recrawl when started and then wait the minutes and do again. This would solve my problem and it would make great use of the timer, if it's not allready doing so and my problem is from somewhere else. Since i did not code the program you might be having a bit more insight into this.
