Re: Samsung TV - Fast Forward Stopped Working

Hi all,

Noob here, beg for your patience... I have this exact problem, with a samsung LE40D579. So the series would be LE, or maybe L? I am using the samsung C/D series profile, though, as the generic profile and a couple more that i tried did not work for me.
I can't fastforward, or select a time in the file that is being read. Also, the length of files that is displayed has nothing to do with reality (hundreds of hours and such), so I guess this is exactly what zip was refering to.
Does that mean i am the owner of the type of samsung tv that messes this part up, or is there a chance that i can get this to work better? I'd be happy to be directed to some reading :)

EDIT : ok, i got the series thing all wrong, they are linked to the year of production and i do have a D series tv. And therefore there is not much to do. I'm leaving this post here anyway, just in case some one has an idea for a work around or something. Thanks for this great program!

Re: Samsung TV - Fast Forward Stopped Working

OK, better late than never; I've compared Serviio & AllShare for my video files results are: -

.ts files - Serviio and AllShare both allow time search and FF

.mpg files - neither Serviio nor AllShare will allow time search or FF

So the common factor is the TV itself, as suggested by Zip.

Re: Samsung TV - Fast Forward Stopped Working

I have the same problem with MKV files. This is only with tv-series, movies are working great. I think the problem is that Serviio counts the time of the episodes together.

The time of the episodes are: 289 minutes. I think Samsung can`t fast forward this because the time is too long?

I`m using the latest version of Serviio with a Samsung D (6200) serie.

Serviio transcodes to mpegts, and as I've posted before the Samsung D series will not skip/ff these files, so I'm somewhat confused as to the format of the ts files that you were able to skip/ff. Could you post the mediainfo for one that did skip/ff?

Re: Samsung TV - Fast Forward Stopped Working

I watch movies using a Samsung LE32D550 TV and for Youtube and other online sources the fast forward is not working if i select the C/D series, however they are working fine on E/F series profile.
Also for the C/D profile the TV shows an incorrect length for the online movies.
This happens with and without transcoding.

Do you thing that is something wrong in the C/D series profile?
