Some videows not showing in folders

After having dificulty finding the correct format for downloaded videos that would play on my Samsung Smart TV, I proceded to convert my video library to the correct format.
I created a folder on a USB hard drive connected to my PC and began the tedius process of converting WMV videos to AVI. I have several videos converted that play correctly. However, I have one folder of 70+videos that when selected shows as empty. This folder is a subfolder of the video folder that does work.
I have stopped and restarted the server several times, forced refresh, but that one folder still appears empty when selected on the TV. What am I doing wrong?

Re: Some videows not showing in folders

I think I have found the problem. The videos in question will not play on the pc either. Back to the conversion process.

Re: Some videows not showing in folders

I have good success with the MKV container, but remember that the TV also needs to understand the video and audio codecs used. For example, the TV does fine with MPEG2, H264 and VC-1 video, and both DTS and Dolby Digital audio. However, it may have problems with HD audio (Dolby TrueHD or DTS Master Audio) or FLAC. Make sure you stick with the general codecs and you should be fine.

What model TV are you using, and what profile is selected in Serviio?
