Serviio not detected on any device

Hello, I'm using Serviio console 1.4.1.2 and I'm trying to get it to work with my Samsung TV. It says on the console that it's active, but it wont show up on either the TV, my tablet or my phone. However, my phone and tablet can find the TV through the MediaHouse app. I've tried restarting my computer, stopping and starting the serviio server, making a rule in the windows firewall to allow Serviio, stopping windows firewall entirely, but it's still not being detected.

How are devices connected over network...wifi/wired?

If everything except your PC/MAC is connected over wifi, they could be separated from the wired network, depends on how wifi is setup, and what router.

Active? Don't know what that means. The console shows "running" when Serviio server is running.

Yep, definitely a networking issue. I would also suggest you update to Serviio 1.5. Some real improvements in there, although nothing that might be related to this.

Once you describe your network setup, we can assist better.

Re: Serviio not detected on any device

I have the same problem, except it was running fine Until yesterday. I recently updates to Serviio 1.5 and am running it on a Ubuntu 14.04 server. This server and my Philips tv are connected wired. Yesterday my tv did not see Serviio anymore, and when I checked the server Serviio had frozen up. I had to restart the computer. Serviio is running again, but is not seen by my my tv, nor by my other appliances that are hooked up to the network wireless. The ubuntu server is seen in the network.

When you rebooted, did your computer get a new IP address? If the console was set to a previous IP (instead of auto select) it may be looking for a non-existent IP address to provide service. Worth a look. For this reason I have my Serviio PC set with a static IP.

Re: Serviio not detected on any device

I think I have set it to automatic, but I also restarted my router, and that usually fixes the the problem.
