Re: new files not refreshed - due to DVR lock?
I am stopping and starting the server via the Serviio console, I assume that is correct?
Serviio v1.5.2
Enjoys a pint of fine wine and as many french fries as I can stuff in my face.

I will set the poller property to workaround this issue. But, having the delta-scanner detect in real-time is pretty awesome.

$ cat ServiioService.exe.vmoptions

-Dserviio.forceLibraryPoller=true
-Dserviio.libraryPollerFrequency=1

Also, recording into a shared folder might not work, 1.5.2 should help with that a bit

So sorry... My vmoptions were copied from a cygwin shell. I am on Windows.
My DVR files are stored on an attached USB drive. Not sure if that qualifies as a shared drive. I'll test to see if Serviio behaves differently when watching an internal drive and report back.
Thanks,
Brett

Retried moving my DVR output folder to an internal drive. Still not adding video to library. Looks like it polls the file a couple times. But, then doesn't add it.
Attaching logs.
Start DVR recording: 8:40
Stop DVR recording: 8:42
Search for "CBS This Morning".
At 8:41 and 8:42 there are logs which find the file.
I found if I make a copy of the file, then the file is added. (Sorry, did not include that test in these logs. I will if it will help.)
Thanks,
Brett

I started up my PC today, downloaded a few files and out of the 15 only 4 were automatically detected. I pressed Force Refresh in the Serviio console and all of them were detected.
Anyway, I am actually using Linux so stopped the Serviio service as mentioned in the readme file. Logs were deleted etc and new logs are attached.
I added the file 'iZombie - 1x01 - Pilot.mp4' to the folder '/home/lee/Downloaded Movies'.
Thanks.

Normally: F:\dvr
and for the last set of logs: D:\dvr
I have several other directories that are currently disabled (for music and movies).
Thanks,
Brett
BadBunny wrote:I've been playing around with my Serviio and slowly added back my other watched folders one by one, and that was looking good, it went really fast now (with metadata disabled) and new media was automatically detected.
I rebooted, put some more test media in a folder and that was also detected ok.
This morning after starting up my PC more new media that was added was detected OK.
And then i added some more test media, files that had been detected OK before and now Serviio decided to ignore half of them.
Later on I added in some more test media, totally fresh files Serviio had never seen before and these were detected OK.
It all seems a little random.

you are starting Serviio as 'root', I assume that user has access to these folders (they are owned by 'lee' and only the user has any kind of rights)
BadBunny wrote:I am logged in as lee and can access all these folders with no problem, i move files in and out of them and play them all the time.
