[SOLVED] BDV-E370 does not see Servvio

After a while of going through the posts, searching for answers, none were found and i'm really hoping someone can help me.

My Sony BDV-E370 system cant find Serviio and Serviio does not find any devices. Some info: I'm running Windows 7, installed no virus/protection software (actually uninstalled everything just in case to get this stuff working), opened up some ports in firewall but ended up disabling it entirely.
I Also:
- Configured the Serviio service to delayed start
- Entered the IP adress of the pc running serviio in the Bound IP address section
- Disabled the Windows Media player network sharing service
- Both my computer and the Sony BDV device have proper i-net connection

When refreshing the window displaying all devices, it keeps saying windows media player with a red dot. How can i get serviio to work?
If i missed a topic dealing with this exact issue, pls inform me!
Thanks in advance!

What are the connection wired, wifi?
Do you have a router, do you manage a firewall on this router?
On sony device, remove all servers in the list an make a server list update.

- Everything is wired
- I have a modem/router. A ZTE H220N .
- I Emptied the list already. As for the update/diagnose, it says firewall/protection software is interfering.

Windows firewall. However, i opened up those ports and it did not work. So i disabled the Firewall entirely and it still didnt work..
In other words, i have read the FAQ and acted according to the stipulated guidelines on how to get things to work. Until now, no succes.

Personally, i think the Router is the problem..Is dat possible? UPnP is enabled... Any thoughts?

Re: BDV-E370 does not see Servvio

Run this command at a command prompt. If you are on a windows machine.

  Code:
netstat -an |find /i "listening"

It will show the computers open ports.

Can you post your serviio.log it is found in the directory that you installed serviio in under the log folder.

Unfortunately, the code does not reveal anything. I just get a new command line.... By the way, i switched computers and installed Serviio on a WinXP pro machine (in case it matters). I hope to find a solution for both in any case.

Re: BDV-E370 does not see Servvio

Serviio is using the following NIC.

  Code:
2011-07-17 14:23:19,640 INFO [DiscoverySSDPMessageListener] Starting DiscoverySSDPMessageListener using interface eth0 (Realtek RTL8102E Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC - Pakketplanner-minipoort) and address 192.168.2.4, timeout = 0

In the serviio console put the 192.168.2.4 address in the bind address and restart serviio.

What is the IP addresses of your DLNA players?

What is the IP addresses of your DLNA players?

The bound ip address was already set to 192.168.2.4 in the serviio console.
The ip address of the dlna player is 192.168.2.5

When working om win7, the delayed start was initialized. On winxp (from which the logfile originates) i manually start serviio after booting.

What is the IP address of the BDV-E370?

What did the the follow command reveal?

  Code:
netstat -an |find /i "listening"

On your router try enabling UPNP.

Maybe im doing something wrong but the command did not show anything. It just went and gave me a new command line.. Any other options to view open ports/ports in use?

UPnP was already enabled on the router.
The ip address of the e370 is 192.168.2.5

im going back to my original thinking and that its the router causing the issue, have you got another one u can use to test with or maybe try pluging the net cable form pc directly to the BD player to see if it then sees serviio?

Yes, i am currently trying to find a cable that's long enough.. Unfortunately, no other options to use as a router. Ill post an update on this attempt in a few hours.

Ill try the command as well. Unfortunately, not at home right now. Getting back to you asap

Here are the requested images/answers. .. As for the direct connection between e370 and pc, i managed to get a hold of 2 powerline adapters so i will try that one right now.
Thnx in advance guys! I really appreciate the help! Additionally, i am able to ping the e370 on 192.168.2.5 with my computer (in case it matters).

About that direct connection. How am i supposed to handle that? Considering that the e370 will not get an IP from the router/modem and the PC will neither as they are no longer connected to the modem/router but to each other..

Here are some additional pictures of the router/modem configuration:

Re: BDV-E370 does not see Servvio

mDNSResponder.exe try ending that process and restarting serviio and see if it appears. :)

also try setting your windows localisation to " English " as i know some other ones cause issues with serviio at the moment.

netstat command wont work and port forwarding on your router will only affect the WAN and not local lan connection...

How can i do this?

I did, restarted Serviio, no luck... :(
Still nothing.. It keeps recommending me to check firewall/protection software on pc and such when i perform a server diagnose on the 370.
