[SOLVED] Version 0.6, Mac OS, and Sony SMP N-100

5.2 has worked flawlessly for me, but 0.6 will start up and recognize my SMP N-100 but the SMP will not recognize media server? I have tried everything I can think of but it will not pick it up as a media server option?

I have just uninstalled 0.6 and reinstalled 5.2 and it works, bang right away.

Curious.

Bound IP detection might have changed. Try putting your mac IP address to the Bound IP field in the console.

I get an invalid ip address error message when I try to put mac address in Serviio console bound field.

Fast reply though, I am very impressed.

Try going into the settings on your N-100 and deleting the Serviio item out of the server list, then reboot the N-100. Do you have another device you can check to see if Serviio is broadcasting properly?

I have tried the resetting and rebooting of the SMP with no luck, but my PS3 does not recognize this version 0.6 either. It does work with 0.52.

ok so here we go back to basics.

Make sure you enter the IP of the pc running serviio into the bound ip field on the console. now remove all renderers from the console (its the same page the box above bound ip field), now all you need to do is restart the pc running serviio and try again.

I had worse results on my N100 with the new profiles. Just put the old one back. Had to fix a couple errors but it pretty much plays anything now.

Re: [SOLVED] Version 0.6, Mac OS, and Sony SMP N-100

When I searched the forum prior to including the one for 0.6, most of the profile examples for the SMP that had been posted involved transcoding everything to Mpeg2. Is it one of those?
LG OLED55B8PLA | PS4 Pro | Xbox One S | Synology DS214play
Serviio 2.1 package for Synology NAS - with limited hardware transcoding support!
