Do you have the latest Sony firmware?

Re: Serviio not seeing Sony TV

Hi,

I have no idea on the Bravia firmware? Do they update often? Would the TV not auto update?

I could phone Sony and check.

No, http://support.sony-europe.com/tvhc/ima ... 503&s=SM18
On your TV sony menu:
Home--> Product Support --> System Information : must be PKG4.107EUL-0108 firmware version

Re: Serviio not seeing Sony TV

Checked the FW and I have the version you mentioned.

System update is set to "on" so I assume it will update when required.

Re: Serviio not seeing Sony TV

Did you change the name of the renderer into TV network menu ?
I did that two weeks ago and Serviio had problems to see my SONY TV, rename it in "Bravia KDL-32CX520" and now no problem for detection and auto profile...

Please do not change the renderer name !! Serviio autodetection is based on it.

Hi,

I have not changed anything on the TV side apart from fixing the IP address to 192.168.1.20.

Yes i see that

Change renderer name is bad like "cross the streams" (croiser les effluves)

Have you tried to see if your TV will see any other DLNA servers?

Re: Serviio not seeing Sony TV

No I haven't tried any other DLNA SW., not really had time as yet. Are you trying to get rid of me?

I have some questions which I will ask Sony Tech Support when I am next home during the day. But can anyone tell me what they see when they go into Setting/Network/Renderer/Renderer Access control? All I see is "No devices are currently permitted to access the renderer function. Confirm connections and update the device list."

I am not sure if this is due to no communication from my PC getting out or some Sony bug.

Another question

The TCP port connection 8895 seems to function fine. I did a netstat before starting serviio and then after and I can see that TCP port 8895 opens and is listening after starting serviio.

However for UDP port 1900 I am not so sure about (see attached gif). I have been checking the I/O on ports for Serviio on my Comodo Firewall and I can see that there is never any return for the UDP communication. Should thiere be some returned data?

I have been trying t see where/why any coms are being blocked and
