i'm getting "temporarily cannot access server. please try again." message for the mp4 files.
still getting the "playback not available" message for the avi files.

Good new, could you check the log file to confirm that MP4/AVC/AAC are delivered in native format? (so aac audio track in fist position is not a problem for Sony TV?)

DivFix doesn't show any errors.

I have the new Sony 46nx723 and am based in europe. The TV was released about a month ago here.

Had the same issue with certain avi files playing and others not playing on the profile "Sony TV - 2011".

Have changed it to "Sony TV" which transcodes all avi to be played well via transcoding. What am I missing out on? does transcoding decrease quality?

If you need me to do any tests or know what code to add to only transcode avi files but not mp4, please let me know.

Hi I'm a newbie, have read the threads, but cannot work out what to edit to make the following AVI file playable to a Sony Bravia 2001 Series (the model is KDL-40EX524), I get the error "playback not available" on the TV. Other .AVI files have played, as have .MKV files.

I've come across some AVI's that seem to meet the specs to play but don't, "playback not available" message on the tv.

But there were some differences for the video stream:
