I think it maby is the unit itself that is the problem, and i am thinking of getting another, do someone know what to go for?
I am thinking abouth WDTV Live or Sony SMP-N200 what is best?

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

HUMMM! This is interesting. I have similar issue.

I have a Sony KDL -52EX700 (TV), a PS3 and a Sony BDP-BX52 (BluRay) as renders. Single serviio installation serves all three renders - TV and PS3 plays streams perfectly fines. But just like OP, my bluray gives me a pink screen after few seconds and then reboots the unit. As i can watch the feeds on TV or PS3 directly so i thought may be my blueray going bad and never looked back. I wonder if the render hardware is the culprit.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Hi, i also have a Sony N100 and get the same pink screen when i try to run live streams. the unit works perfectly on local files, netflix, hulu, etc.. but If i try to view live streams i get a few seconds of searching (about 5-8) then pink screen for about 30 seconds then the unit reboots. While the unit has a pink screen it is locked up and even pressing the on unit power button will not turn it off.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Can you guys give us your exact setup including router, computer running serviio, where files are, what renderes you can play video and renderers you cannot play videos on. For your renderers can you supply the model and the firmware version.

This information will help us determine what is causing this problem.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

My router is Linksys WRP400

I have tryed to run Serviio from diffrent computers to see if that is the problem, but its make pink screen no matter what computer i try, but the "main computer" is running Win 7 home premium 32 bit, and is a MSI GX700, the second is a ASUS Eeepc running Win 7 Starter.

My unit is a Sony SMP-N100 with latest firmware from 23/6-2011 M05.R.084 connectet via HDMI to TV , i have tryed to run both with WIFI and cabel, but no diffrent, it makes pink screen no matter what.

I can run MKV movie from my Buffalo linkstation without any problems.

It is not one live stream that make problems it is them all, sometime i can get one to work, next time not, it dosent matter if it is HD channel or regular channels. As sayed, if i am lucky i can get one to play, and it is not the same, but most of the time i get pink screen.

All feed link, plugin and groovey files is taken from the forum.

I hope this can help

Best regards

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

My router/switch is Cisco SRP 520W. Sony KDL-52EX700 and Serviio (Win 7 Business Edtn 64bit) are hard wire to the router. The bluray (BDP-BX57) and PS3 are wireless/wire units but right now both of them are connected wireless-ly. The local medias are served from serviio work without any issues on any of these renderers. The trouble is with RSS/Video Streams playing from bluray (BDP-BX57) - wire or wirelees same outcome. My setup is attached for reference.

Is there a certain feed that is causing the problem? if so can you provide a ffmpeg - i of it?

Also how did you create the homenet.jpg? It is real helpful.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

For me all feeds - the wheel spins in tv for a while then after few secs the bluray pucks. The comcast speed is 25 down/4 up. Attached pic is the bluray renderer detected by serviio.

As far network diagram - i used Gliffy http://www.gliffy.com/gliffy/#templateId=blank&signup=1. I created the diagram as guest and used windows 7 snipping tool to snip the diagram.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Hmm, i have found out that the pink screen is relatet to the HDMI, when i use regular AV cables the screen goes BLACK and the unit restarts, so the problem is the same, just a diffrent coulor.

I AM GOING NUTS OVER THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

I had few minutes over weekend to play around with my bdp-bx57 to find a cause for the pink issue. It turns out it can't handle m2ts but it plays streams fine if they are mpeg. I am not familiar with on-the-fly transcoding settings or terms. I tried to unsuccessfully transcode all online streams with mpeg codec.

How do i force them to trancode or to put them in mpeg container instead of m2ts?

thanks

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Could you try to edit profiles.xml file and change the following line 123

<Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="384">

to

<Video targetContainer="mpeg" targetACodec="ac3" aBitrate="384">

Could you provide a feed link that I can test with my SMP-N100 device ?
