Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

After profiles.xml modification, did you restart the serviio service?

Could you please give me one feed link I could test?

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Illico - how do you like N100? I am contemplating on getting either N100 or N200 myself. Looking at the OP issue i am not sure it is worth it. Looks like you are not having that issue at all.

I will try you suggestion on bdp-bx57 when i get home. Thank you

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Same problems here with Sony SMP-N100 (M05.R.084 latest firmware).

Most live streams fail and reboot SMP-N100 but sometimes they will work.

Testing stream using ffmpeg -i (version 0.9 built on Dec 13 2011 20:46:11) looks ok.

NASA HD Live Stream used:

rtmp://ustreamvip.fc.llnwd.net/ustreamvip playpath=ustreamvip_llnw_live_1_95413586 swfUrl=http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:96.swf swfVfy=1 live=1

Thanks.

On my Sony Bravia 2010 TV, I have to add the port like this:
rtmp://ustreamvip.fc.llnwd.net:80/ustreamvip playpath=ustreamvip_llnw_live_1_95413586 swfUrl=http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:96.swf swfVfy=1 live=1

This NAZA HD Live works too :

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Thanks for your quick response.

I had an old version of livefeeds.groovy and updated to v3.

Then, I added the :80 to the NASA HD Stream as you suggested and the Sony SMP-N100 took about 1 minute with whirling loading icon and it started streaming the content! After the next 4 and more tries, it wouldn't load the same stream once again rebooting the SMP-N100.

rtmp://ustreamvip.fc.llnwd.net:80/ustreamvip playpath=ustreamvip_llnw_live_1_95413586 swfUrl=http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:96.swf swfVfy=1 live=1

ffmpeg -i "rtmp://ustreamvip.fc.llnwd.net:80/ustreamvip playpath=ustreamvip_llnw_live_1_95413586 swfUrl=http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:96.swf swfVfy=1 live=1" resulted in no errors with or without the :80 addition.

Then I tried:
http://liveips.nasa.gov.edgesuite.net/msfc/Wifi.m3u8 , but Sony SMP-N100 still failed (got whirling loading icon, black screen for about 1 minute) then rebooted again.

Not sure what is causing this problem, but it seems to be at least a 90% failure rate and is common to multiple Sony SMP-N100 owners. Have tried powering off and on the Sony SMP-N100 and restarting PC running Serviio also.

All audio live streams work great.

If anyone has any more ideas to try, please advise.

Thanks again.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

Ok, I also have issue with this live streaming:
rtmp://ustreamvip.fc.llnwd.net:80/ustreamvip playpath=ustreamvip_llnw_live_1_95413586 swfUrl=http://static-cdn1.ustream.tv/swf/live/viewer.rsl:96.swf swfVfy=1 live=1
After a very long time (10s-30s) and the either video is running, either reboot the device. Need some investigation...

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

I'm getting the same, I have 3 devices, most of the times I will get the pink screen and the device will reset. I updated java to its latest version and also inted to update ffmpeg from 0.09 to 0.10.
I have a xbox360 which I want to test to see if it reacts the same way.

Thank you.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

I did a test disabling the transcoding feature on the transcoding tab and got some of the channels to stream no problem.
It seems like if the channel is MPEG it streams fine but if the channel is M2TS it shows the pink screen.
I'll keep testing.

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

I did a test disabling the transcoding feature on the transcoding tab, but my SMP-N100 still rebooted on most M2TS live streams. The MPEG live streams play ok consistently.

I did a test from another computer I have with the nhk link directly with ffmpeg and this is what I got:

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

This error might indicate that you need to enclose your statement with quotes since it contains spaces.

For example: ffmpeg -i "rtmp etc"

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

It's also interesting because for mmsh://live1.wm.skynews.servecast.net/s ... z_live300k, it makes no difference if you enclose your statement or not.

But if I enclose the NHK like you suggested I get something that makes sense:

Re: Help wanted for SMP-N100 and live streaming

What Sony model are you using? If you are using the Sony SMP-N100 and if your stream is M2TS, then it will only work about 10% of the time and we're not sure yet what is causing this problem.

SMP-N100
Latest firmware

Well, that's why I was suggesting that it was the way the link is typed in serviio.
