*Working* WTV files on Samsung B-series
Hey everyone, Just wanted to share for those who might have been having issues with WTV files still. I'm new to serviio and after cancelling Cable I had one requirement from my wife, to be able to record OTA HD series shows. I hope you find it usefull, I followed the directions from here: http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=win_ffmpeg. Serviio folks, any chance you will release with the updated FFMPEG?
The short is that I simply replaced the FFMPEG.EXE with the updated one from this site (as seen in another post): http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/ and I used the FFmpeg git-e01f478 64-bit Static (Latest) (2012-03-19) file.
All i can say is that it works GREAT! I can FWD/FFWD, RWD and I have no lag or choppiness in the picture or audio. I've only looked at one show so far, but will continue to test.
Here is the long story:
I've tested so many server type apps for Samsung and for my Roku: Plex, Serviio (as is), Mezzmo, Roksbox, PS3 Media Server, . Some definitely played the WTV file, but wouldn't allow or allow easily the FWD/RWD features and if it did it would lag terribly and loose quality or stop playing all together. Mezzmo might work if I replaced the FFMPEG file like I did here, but i have to pay for it which wouldn't make sense to me.
On my PC end, I'm running an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz, with 16 GB RAM and WIN 7 64 bit.
I am using a hardline all the way around, so no wifi setup.
