Samsung LE40B651 / Playing m4a file ?

Hello

I am trying to play my m4a files using serviio and my TV Samsung LE40B651.

If I understand well my TV only support playing mp3 for music .... posting.php?mode=post&f=7# So I have to transcode m4a to mp3, correct ?

Does serviio is able to do that

Thank you

On serviio console, do you have "Samsung B" profile selected ?

All non-supported audio format should be transcoded to LPCM (supported by this TV model, you can also change to mp3 format but it will be compressed).

Yes Samsung B profile is selected.

When I tried to play a m4a file, the TV says "Media type is not supported."

It's not with DEBUG enabled. Make sure to restart the service (or PC)

Ok Sorry I am back with my question.

I will try to use the debug mode but I have a general question.

In my samsung manual it is said that the TV will take care only of file with the .mp3 extension.

So If I have only m4a file , do I have to change the extension for all of them or using transcoding will allow to pass this problem ?

transcoding would help, no need to rename anything

As I am using Serviio on my NAS synology I 've disable Transcoding. is there a way to use transcoding only for audio?
