Problem with online content

I've read several threads but haven't seen anything about my problem.

I am playing a stream via Sopcast and have added it to my online sources in Serviio (127.0.0.1:8903) as video and live stream.

I have a Sharp LCD-TV (LC-60LE841S) and when I try to play my stream under VIDEO MODE > VIDEO > ONLINE it says the folder is empty. I've checked the stream URL in Serviio and it's fine.

What am I doing wrong?

use http://127.0.0.1:8903 and make sure sopcast is running first.

Re: Problem with online content

it's weird, it looks like mpeg (ps) with h264, which is not a valid DLNA format, not is configured for transcoding anywhere. Any chance to stream in mpegts?

Re: Problem with online content

I am having similar problems, as are a number of other threads.

This morning I set out to add SOPCAST to my HAHASPORTS groovy. Looks at the wiki and found I needed to start up SOPCAST with its link sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/124646 and then add http://127.0.0.1:8902
to Serviio as a livestream.

In my case ffpmeg -i http://127.0.0.1:8902 gives me an mpegts stream
  Code:
Input #0, mpegts, from 'http://127.0.0.1:8902':
  Duration: N/A, start: 36800.171189, bitrate: 96 kb/s
  Program 1
    Stream #0:0[0x56](eng): Audio: mp2 ([3][0][0][0] / 0x0003), 48000 Hz, mono,
s16, 96 kb/s
    Stream #0:1[0x57]: Video: h264 (Constrained Baseline) ([27][0][0][0] / 0x001
B), yuv420p, 646x396 [SAR 128:117 DAR 20672:11583], 62 fps, 25 tbr, 90k tbn, 50
tbc

but when I add http://127.0.0.1:8902 to Serviio as a live stream and try to play it , the TV says file format not supported which usually means there is no input and mediaplayer just spins.

The log for the TV playback is
  Code:

The log for mediaplayer shows an ffmpeg error. But why does it send the file back when there is no file to send?

And I get the same when I try to play it again. Seems it cannot find the previous transcoded file.

While all this is going on i can play the stream natively with ffplay or as a native stream with Serviigo, so the problem is in the Serviio transcoding. Seems it fails in transcoding but then continues to try and send the empty file to the client which then cannot find it.

If I run the transcoding command for mediaplayer by itself and create an output flv file it plays on my pc as a valid file.

Does that mean I have to re-stream via VLC and choose a different format?

On the other hand, I also added a few of the RSS from the video streams part of the forum.

None of them show up on my TV either.

Re: Problem with online content

You need to post more info.. What Sopcast stream gave you the PS stream. What RSS's don't work. What does the debug log show. What profile are you using. Have you ever streamed anything successfully?

Re: Problem with online content

I have opened a new thread subsequent to my problem posted above which addresses the failure of http stream playbacks in media browser. It does not however address the ffmpeg failures noted above.

Ok, now I managed to get a Sopcast stream to work - so I won't fiddle any more with what. :)

But the RSS is still bugging me, I've added these three:
https://sites.google.com/site/serviiors ... Sports.rss
https://sites.google.com/site/serviiors ... Movies.rss
https://sites.google.com/site/serviiors ... Sports.rss

Isn't it as simple as just adding them in Serviio under online sources and online rss/atom feed? It shows up on my tv, but the folders are empty.

EDIT: The last RSS, LiveFeeds_TV_Sports.rss, gave three streams when clicking the folder. None of them worked though.

Re: Problem with online content

I am also having the same issue streaming sopcast with certain channels namely Bloodzeed. I have had other streams through Sopcast working so I know my setup is sound albeit get the same problem occasionally where my Panasonic ST50 simply says cannot read file. This is after many force refreshes. I have sopcast setup in two ways, one setup as a live stream with URL http://localhost:8902
and secondly as a webresource using URL http://www.sopcast.com?port=8902&items=1 with a sopcast.grovy plugin provided on this site to auto refresh stream channels.

Sadly neither seem to work with bloodzeed channel with the cannot read file error although the channel does obviously appear in my online folder on the tv, the output from command line using ffmpeg -i http://localhost:8902 is this:

Re: Problem with online content

Only that there seems to be a lot of problems with this stream. Currently SOPCAST starts to buffer it and then it hangs up SOPCAST with a (not responding). I do not have similar problems with any other SOPCAST channel.
