Failed connection with TV after a few minutes

Hello,

Each time I start Serviio server, everything runs well : I can browse my movie library, I can launch a movie...
But after a few minutes (even with no activity with Serviio), if I browse my library again or i want to launch a new movie, it does not work, meaning that my library is not accessible from my TV anymore.
On Serviio console, my TV is not recognized as a Sony TV anymore but as an unrecognized device. Aand a new device has been added with IP address 192.168.27.14 (always the same) and the correct profile (Sony Bravia TV 2011)
I have tried with 0.6x, 1.01 and 1.1: I have got the same problem.

Thanks for your help

Here is my config:
- TV: Sony 40ex721 with the lastest update
(connected by wifi or hardwired through a router: in both cases, I have got the problem)
- Serviio (now 1.1) running on a PC with Windows 7 64-bits Ultimate
- Local network: fixed IP address on every item
I have attached a Log file and 2 screen copies of Serviio console when it works and after the problem appears.

The IP addresses aren't the tv different interfaces i.e the wired and wifi connections ?

Re: Failed connection with TV after a few minutes

I do not think so: today, only the wifi connection is enabled and no ethernet cable is connected to the TV
According to a tool I use to watch my local network, 192.168.27.14 does not exist on the LAN: this IP address only appears on the device list of Serviio console.

What is strange to me is that, after a few minutes after the problem appears, (look at the log file) 193.168.0.20 is "associated" to a different uuid (different from time to time) than the Sony tv one (uuid=00000000-0000-1010-8000-00a0969669be). So, Serviio cannot recognize the Sony tv and applied the generic dlna profile and consequently, I cannot see Serviio library on my tv anymore.

How does Serviio server know that he is talking to a Sony TV? through the uuid of the device? another info?

Tahnks

Re: Failed connection with TV after a few minutes

enable detailed logging so that we can see the incoming request and why it doesn't assign the right profile.

Re: Failed connection with TV after a few minutes

Here is a detailed logging.
I stopped and started again Serviio server at about 18:42.
Sony Bravia TV 2011 profile is assigned to the right IP address 192.168.0.20 (my Sony TV)
At about 18:49, 192.168.27.14 appeared on Serviio device list (after refreshung the list)
and the generic DLNA profile is assigned to 192.168.0.20

Re: Failed connection with TV after a few minutes

It looks like the TV announces itself with 2 IP addresses, but with the same ID. So the initial right IP is then updated (because the ID is the same) to the wrong IP. When a request comes from the original IP, no renderer with that IP is found, resulting in Generic profile.

This looks like either a router or TV setup problem. I remember reading about similar issue before, try searching the forum.
