Temp folder

Hi all,

I have just been doing some general maintenance on my server cleaning up files that never completed ect. I have noticed in the serviio temp folder there are 8files with a total size of nearly 16gb. To be honest the size isn't an issue, I am just wondering what these temp files are and if they should auto clear. I assume its for the transcoding.

Also I havnt been on the site in awhile, what with all the spam posts. Do you need help clearing them up.

Re: Temp folder

Those temp files are created when a video is transcoded for a device that doesn't natively play it. There is no harm in deleting those files. They should automatically get removed when a request for new transcode comes in from same device or if you restart your serviio instance.

If you need space, shutdown serviio and re-start it. That should clear out those files. If that doesn't happen, shutdown serviio, remove the files manually, restart serviio.

Re: Temp folder

Where is this temp folder located? Might be a good thing to check it up once in a while.

Re: Temp folder

Open up console and look under transcoding (i think) tab.
