Problem with VOB files

Hello,

I just installed Serviio last night and I like it alot. I would like to upgrade to the pro version but I am having a serious problem with part of my collection I want to stream.

It seems that about 30 percent of my .vob files are not recognized by Serviio, to test to see if something was wrong with the files themselves I moved them to a Buffallo Tech NAS drive I have that has a built in DLNA server. On that drive. They all are seen and indexed properly. Serviio does not see them at all.

It would appear that all the vob files that are missing are from DVDs that have multiple titles therefore multiple vobs on the dvd. They were all ripped using DvDfab. As I already stated an other dlna server sees them all so I really dont think anything is wrong with them.

Since I just installed Serviio I am assuming I did something wrong. Could someone advise me on this. I would like to keep them in VOB format and not convert them to mp4.

Thanks in advance.

Here is the information you requested. But as I already stated, it does not show up as a media file, so I cannot even attempt to play it.

Re: Problem with VOB files

The files you provided are added for me. Did you check the last Added category or Folders category? They might not appear under Movies if the metadata is not found for them.

Re: Problem with VOB files

I searched for them though "Folder" and the folder was empty.

Should they not always show up under "Folder" ?

Thanks

Can you see them in MediaBrowser or AV Media Controller (Intel tools)?

Re: Problem with VOB files

No I cannot see them with the media browser.

It is as if they do not exist.

I tried installing a different server and it sees them fine. It is only Serviio that does not.

Machine is running windows 7 64 bit Ultimate Edition ( if this matters )

Re: Problem with VOB files

Do they have the same access rights as the files you can see? (incl. their parent folders).
