Live stream problem with Serviio on WD TV Play

I'm having issues playing streams on the WD TV Play. I just bought a new one from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/WD-TV-Play-Media- ... B008YDUTRO). Files work normally, but live streams won't play. It brings up a blue cursor, loads the video player (like the one with the play/pause button) but the video itself is black and never starts. In the logs, I found warnings like this when I tried to play streams:

Did you even try to search? there is the same article 3 lines below yours.

Yeah, I don't think it's the same issue. I tried deleting that line from that thread and streams still did not work. Also there's no mention of the warning from my logs in that thread.

It is the same problem. Make sure to restart the PC after the change.

I did restart the PC to no avail, but I do have some new information. I let the WD TV Play sit for awhile and after about 8-15 minutes it has about a 2/3 chance to start playing the stream smoothly, and the other 1/3rd it comes up with a frozen picture. The stream is lagged by the amount of time it took to start, like it's buffered for 10 mins or so. It's not a connection issue either, I tried over wifi and directly connected to the ethernet. Serviio is not fed any data for a bit when this is logged.

I've tried more than 5 different streams that all run fine in the browser and vlc, all of them have the same problems. If you have a stream that is known to be working, let me know so I can test if the behavior is the same as the ones I've tried.
