Serviio and Mavericks

Hello,

I use OS Mavericks. I can not start Serviio.

I am obliged to leave by forcing Serviio.

Is Serviio Mavericks is compatible with?

Re: Serviio and Mavericks

Mavericks user here. I am using Serviio and it seems to work fine, despite the dock icon stating "Application Not Responding." Perhaps this will be addressed in a future update?

Let it bounce in the dock for a minute or so, then you can open up the console to check the server status.

Re: Serviio and Mavericks

Way more "elegant' to start serviio using launchd .... and let the system handle things

Re: Serviio and Mavericks

I had serviio installed on my iMac and was able to stream shows to my Sony TV from both the computer and online sources. After updating to Mavericks I can no longer stream online sources. The local files still work and the online sources (Hulu and CBS) will allow me to browse the shows but when I try to play it gives a "server not accessible" error.

I have downgraded to Apple Java 6 and cleared the old servers from the TV, but nothing seems to work.

Any thoughts?

Why have you downgraded your Java installation? Actually, the question is should we be using Apple's implementation of Java or the official Oracle release?

There was another thread about serviio not using Java 7, which comes with Mavericks. Using the Apple Java 6.

Here:

What I'm seeing is that Serviio bounces on the dock, then I run Console, all works. If you want to quit Serviio, right-click on Serviio Console and Exit Serviio.

Does the server not work for you at all? Ie, do you have anything in the log?

Re: Serviio and Mavericks

Weird, I started using Serviio after upgrading to Mavericks. I have no idea what installation of Java I have. I have to admit, Serviio does act buggy since it does bounce in the dock for a good while and I do have to force quit it to shit down my Mac but it does work.

Re: Serviio and Mavericks

Serviio is buggy in Mavericks… It will work fine only in Mountain Lion (serviio is the only thing preventing me to upgrade to Mavericks)...
