[SOLVED] KDL-32EX720

I'm running Win7 on a laptop and just installed servio 1.3.1 for the first time. I've set up the console for Sony Bravia 2011, but I don't get the green dot. My TV does show Serviio in media so it is apparently recognised over the WiFi. What do I need to do to fix it?

Can you ping your tv from the PC ?
Have you tried ethernet cable between all devices ?

I can't ping
in cmd.exe i get:
'ping'is not recognized as an internal or external operable program or batch file.
???
Also, can't connect with ethernet cable because of location of modem. That's why I'm connected over WiFi

Ignoring the green dot issue, can you play your media?
Some of my devices have never produced a green dot but work perfectly.

TV now doesn't even show serviio server anymore.
Have checked firewall and serviio is listed allowed in both incoming and outgoing rules ...

What firewall app do you have ?
What router do you have ?

Have you tried disabling the firewall completely just to test if serviio / laptop can see the the pc ?

Ping with firewall on and off gave 100% score. So TV visible in network. Can also access internet TV (like YouTube) from TV.
Also with firewall "off" no server visible, also scan for server negative.
Tried adding TV mac-address in modem (zyxel P-2601HN(L)-F1 series) but no still no server visible / scannable on TV.

Problem solved. I'm using an access point (which I had forgotten about) and after I entered the TV's MAC address there it was instantenously recognised by serviio.
